Terms of Service
Last updated: 23 September 2026
Journey times, traffic, public transport times and reminder times are predictions based on third-party data that can be wrong, late or unavailable. Notifications can be delayed or not delivered at all (for example because of your phone’s settings, battery saving, network problems or the notification services of Apple, Google or others). You are always responsible for planning your own time and deciding when to leave. LeaveOnTime is not responsible for any delay, missed appointment, missed connection, cost or other loss that results from using, or being unable to use, the app.
1. Who we are
LeaveOnTime is provided by LeaveOnTime (“we”, “us”). Contact: support@leaveontime.com.
2. Your account
You must give accurate information, keep your password secret and be at least 16 years old (or have permission from a parent or guardian). You are responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or harm the service or other people.
3. What the service does
The app estimates when you should leave to arrive on time and sends you reminders. It uses data from third parties such as OpenStreetMap, Transitous, TomTom and public transport operators. We do not control their data or availability and cannot guarantee that the service will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free.
4. Safety
Never use the app in a way that distracts you while driving, cycling or walking in traffic. Always follow traffic rules and the instructions of the authorities. Routes may include roads or paths that are closed, unsafe or not allowed for your vehicle.
5. Usage limits
The service is currently free of charge. Usage limits apply, for example the number of live-traffic trips per day; you can see your limits and what you have used on your Usage page. We may change these limits.
6. SMS reminders
SMS reminders are optional, available only on accounts where we have enabled them, and sent only to a number you give us. Delivery depends on mobile networks and is not guaranteed.
7. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the service: no automated scraping, overloading, reverse engineering, sending unwanted trips to people, or using the app for anything illegal.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost time, lost income, missed appointments, travel costs, fines or penalties. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes and ending
We may update these terms; we will tell you about important changes in the app. You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time by contacting us.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where LeaveOnTime is established, without affecting the mandatory consumer rights of the country you live in.
